Why case design matters

When reviewing a chassis, start with layout. Check graphics-card clearance, cooler height, power-supply position, drive placement and whether cables can be routed without blocking intake air. Next, consider how dust filters, fan mounts and ventilation openings affect maintenance and noise over time.
Airflow should be judged as a path rather than a fan count. Well-placed intakes and exhausts can outperform a cluttered case with more fans. Side panels, drive cages and decorative plastic can all influence that path, so a case that looks open from the outside is not automatically easy to cool.
Style should not erase serviceability
A memorable chassis can still be frustrating if routine tasks require removing too many parts. Tool-less mechanisms, removable panels and sensible cable space matter because systems evolve. The easier a case is to work in, the more likely owners are to clean it, upgrade it and keep airflow healthy.
